These cookies stay in central Indiana and are distributed to Camp Atterbury and other military locations and armories.

Cookies for Operation Cookie Drop can be ordered January 7 thru March 12, 2012.

Money for Operation Cookie Drop is to be collected when the cookies are ordered --- $3.50 per package.

  2.  Hancock Gift of Caring

not in the Troop Cookie Manual

Started with the 2008 cookie sale --- cookie packing was in March.

These cookies are paid for at the time of ordering, beginning January 7 thru March 12, 2012.  The customer does not see the cookies, but has the opportunity to choose the cookie variety to send to the soldier.

Last year, 535 packages of cookies were mailed to the soldiers in 60 flat rate boxes.

Try to collect shipping fees for hancock Gift of Caring as the cookies are sent directly to the soldiers serving.  The customer is not required to pay shipping fees when choosing Hancock Gift of Caring.  Having a container at your cookie booth helps to collect shipping fees for sending these cookies.

Cookies are $3.50 per package and the shipping fee averages $1.75 --- making the cost of cookies $5.25.

Checks are to be made out to GSCI or Girl Scouts of Central Indiana.

Turn over shipping fees to Anna or Dan Peck when dropping off cookies to be packed for shipping.

Cookie packing will take place on Saturday, March 17, 2012.  Troops can bring cookies to the Girl Scout House starting at 8 AM till 11 AM.

Shipping boxes and labels will be at the packing.

Gather addresses of soldiers from Hancock county or with family in Hancock county and send in an e-Mail to the Peck family, Shondra or me.

We also collect and send coupons to the soldiers to use at the PX --- even expired ones!

Magazines are also sent.

It would be greatly appreciated if girls could have hand made cards, thank yous, a personal note, etc. to put in the boxes being shipped.
